IMPACT  – that minuscule second when your club head smacks the ball.

This puny sized word surely does impact our thoughts powerfully to impart impacting power to the golf ball so you can pound that ball airborne fore a looooong waaaaay.

Here are some thoughts for you to ponder regarding impact.

At the bottom of the arc:   IS THE BALL!

Sling the club head toward the ball in the curve of an airplane approaching touchdown.

Snap the wrists through the impact feeling like you’re smashing through a one-inch wall of water.

You measure the club head speed for distance. You don’t measure your gut rotation speed for distance.  A club is not attached to your gut, so don’t heave the gut at the ball for added gutso.

Tighten the gut at impact for resistance so the arm swing achieve a resisting feel to fling the club past your gut.

Feel that the end of acceleration is waist high. Relax the gut and breathe out.

Wow - start to let out the breath
